Fine Art Photography

Fine art photography is my current photographic focus.  I strive to take my unique vision on urban life and provide people with custom pieces of art work that they can display in their homes or offices which will spark conversations with others and provide the owner with a delight for years to come.  My work comes in two varieties, prints and canvas.  I utilize two of the top print houses in the country to help transform my vision.

All of my print work is done on real photographic paper, I will choose between Kodak Endura Luster, Kodak Endura Metallic, or Illford True Black and White paper based on the photo chosen.  All prints, unless otherwise specified, will be matted with a 2in white matte and a 2in black frame with glass, some extra large sizes will not have a matte but will still have a frame.  If you wish to only have a print please specify so, prints may also be mounted to foam board or styrene board upon request.  Prints come in standard photographic sizes and/or panoramic sizes, please specify a general size that you would like and I will provide you with exact dimensions.

Canvas prints are absolutely amazing to look at.  My photos are transferred onto real canvas and stretched around a 1.5in wood frame to produce what is known as  a gallery wrap canvas.  No frame is needed as all the edges are finished and the canvas is ready to be hung on the wall as is.  Canvas prints come in standard sizes, as well as any custom size as long as one edge is no longer then 40 inches.

Architectural Photography

Boston is full of many unique types of architecture.  Historic buildings, modern masterpieces, high rises, row houses; I have experience taking many types of architectural photography.  Whether you are a corporate marketing executive looking to brand your property or an architectural firm looking to document a recent project for your office, or a home owner that would like photos taken of your brownstone or your newly remodeled interior, I can provide you with great professional imagery that will set you apart from the rest.

Real Estate agents, are you posting photos of your listings taken with a point and shoot camera?  Why not put a little extra into your listing by getting some professional photography.  If your website is the first place prospective buyers are going to look for a new home, why not reel them in with some high quality photos rather then having them look at those point and shoot photos and deciding to just try the next google link on the page.

Event | Commercial | Stock Photography

My photography has been published in numerous newspapers and magazines.  They have also been used in a variety of marketing materials and commercial publications/advertisements.  I am available for assignment work and I have a vast library of photographs that may be licensed for use.

The vast majority of my available portfolio is based in an urban environment.  I have had the good fortune over the years to be right in the middle of a lot of interesting things.  Events in Boston, range from the traditional, such as the St. Patrick’s Day parade in South Boston, to The Feast of St. Anthony in The North End, to the non traditional flash mob style events like International Pillow Fight Day, The Revolutionary Water Gun Battle and who can forget the annual No Pants on the Subway event.  There are tons of concerts and other events at the Hatch Shell along the Charles River.  I photograph the Head of the Charles Regatta every fall, I had credentials for the inaugural Mayor’s Criterion Road Race, a cycling event around City Hall, and I was embedded with PUMA Ocean Racing for the Volvo Ocean Race Boston stop-over.

I know the ins and outs of the city, how to navigate its streets and tight spaces.  Whether you are a blog/new agency looking for documentry work, a magazine or publication needing photos for a particular article, or a corporation looking to brand or sell a product, I can provide you with something from my library of work or work with you to photograph something unique.

My library of imagery is Rights Managed and I retain full copyright.  I am not a micro stock person and I take great pride in the pictures that I take, and the services I can provide.

While the vast majority of my work is in the streets of Boston, I have plenty of experience in taking photos of people.  I have done all of the types above.  My work is on location around Boston as I do not operate out of a studio space.  If studio shots are required, and it is in the budget, there are a vast amount of studios available for rent around Boston and I am more then able to work in a studio environment.  Please contact me for current rates

I was the lead organizer for Help Portrait Boston.  Help Portrait was an idea by photographer Jeremy Cowart.  Jeremy has a great urge to give back to people and he had the idea to start Help Portrait to bring all levels of photographers together with the simple mission of taking portraits of people who are in need, donating all the photo time, prints and alike.  We had the amazing opportunity to work with the Germaine Lawrence School and group home in Arlington MA.  The school is a place for troubled adolescent girls of varying problems, from run a ways, eating disorders, or abuse victims, the school is a safe place for them to come to get help.  We had 15 photographers and 15 stylists there for 8+ hours to make a special day for 40 girls.  They had the time of their lives and we all hope that brightening their day around the holidays helped in their treatment.

In addition to taking pictures I am also available for various other services.  I am an expert photo retoucher, if you are a photographer that isn’t comfortable retouching or does not have the time to do retouching please contact me to see how I may be able to help you out.  I am also available for photo restoration, if you have old family photos that you would like to bring back to life in digital form let me know.
