Changing your perspective

What do you do with you photography to get that different look that no one else gets? Are you always just shooting on your feet? If you don’t mix it up and change your perspective on things how will you ever possibly start to see the world differently? In this photo Bryant spotted something interesting happening. The problem was the sidewalk was jammed with people. So, instead of missing the shot, Bryant climbed up onto a traffic light pole to get above the mass of pedestrians to get a better angle.

There are times when you need to climb something, whether it be a pole or a fire escape, what ever it takes to change your perspective. Then there are times when you need to get a little dirty and just lay down in the street or on the sidewalk. Now I will put in a full disclaimer here, you should never lay down on a street with traffic on it, I don’t want to be the reason you get run over by a car. But, if the street is closed off for an event then by all means lay down to get that unique angle that all the people five to six feet above you aren’t going to get with their point and shoot cameras.

Start to think differently. Change up how you see things and you will start to be rewarded for it with more dynamic and engaging photographs.
