I hope that you have read yesterday’s post. Shame on you if you haven’t!!! As I stated at the end of the post I would create a new entry with the actual list for you. I have also included a PDF checklist that you may feel free to download to aid in your preparations. It’s not the prettiest PDF I have ever created but that wasn’t the goal, the goal was to get you ready to take some cool photos of the July 4th fireworks and remember the holiday with.
Without further adieu the list with links to some of the stuff in case you don’t have something but would like some more information.
The Essentials
- Cooler and Ice
- Water/other drinks
- Snacks – chips, subs, other food
- Plates, napkins, plasticware
- Toilet paper or wet wipes
- Collapsable chair
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Long Pants, Jacket, Sweatshirt for change in weather
- Umbrella in case of passing shower
- Entertainment – Book, ipod, games
- Flash Light (thanks to my buddy John for noting this was missing)
- Camera
- Charged batteries
- Memory Cards
- Wide angle lens i.e. Fisheye, 16-35 etc.
- Normal or telephoto zoom lens i.e. 24-70 or 70-200
- Tripod and head
- Cable release
- Super clamps
- Magic arm
- Gorilla Pod
- ND filters of various densities
- Safety Straps if you plan on hanging your camera over water

Another thing to consider on site location is the moon. Where’s the moon at and can you find a spot that would allow for the moon to be in the photos?
