Continuing from yesterdays post of Tranquility, I thought for today’s From the Vault, I would share with you all a photo of my favorite spot in the city. This is the dock at the Esplanade on the Charles River just before the Hatch Shell. Here is where I spend lots of time at the end of long summer days, relaxing, unwinding and reflecting. Just me, my satellite radio or ipod and some chill beats is all I need to find peace in the day. I always try to snag some dock space at the far left of the dock that way I have a clear view down the river to the setting sun. I took this photo one quiet evening out on a photo walk with my good buddy Rich (go check out his photos, they rule). This is a five exposure HDR image taken with a Canon 15mm Fisheye lens, just at the start of Civil Twilight. I have said it before and I’ll say it again, Civil Twilight is my favorite time of day, even more than sunset, and if you want to know more about what exactly Civil Twilight is, check out this post that I did a couple of months back.
