Anyone who knows Boston, and its history, knows the Theater District and the Paramount Theater. When Boston was plagued by the notorious Combat Zone, a period of time in the 70s and 80s when the theater district was over-run with prostitution, strip clubs, and the mob, the theater district basically became a boarded up hell hole, well it is back as it once was and almost all of the theaters are open again. The latest in the line of restoration is The Paramount Theater. Emerson College purchased the building and has completely brought it back to life. Its about ready for its grand opening, and I was lucky to have my camera gear with me one night when the marquee was re-lit, after being dark for decades. Here are a few photos of the new marquee.
Enjoy
Jeff
