Greetings all, and especially all my fellow Boston Photographers. This blog post is going out as a kick starter to gather us together to discuss how we might help this cause. Professional photographer Jeremy Cowart has come up with a brilliant idea. It’s an idea to help, give back to the community, show that photography transcends the masses and the classes, to help out those who might not be able to afford the photo services of pros or even semi-pros like a lot of us. Please watch the following video, and leave a comment if you are interested in getting together grabbing a beer and figuring out how we can do this. We all have the gear, but we would have to find a place, print services, hair/make-up stuff like that, it would be quite the undertaking, but it will make someones holiday that much brighter. Lets put those brain pans together and figure it out. I will start threads on the various flickr groups that we participate in and we can use that forum to do the logistics and planning. About Me
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Jeff Tamagini is an urban lifestyle photographer with a knack for capturing those “little” moments that make city life so great. From events like International Pillow Fight Day to sporting events, there is a chance you will see him behind the lens. Jeff produces both commercial work and fine art and takes pride on seeing the faces of people as they unbox the works of art that he has created for them. In addition to his photography Jeff is also an architectural designer and a digital artist with a keen eye for branding design. He is a member of numerous online communities including flickr and NAPP.
He was the lead organizer for Help Portrait Boston, an organization created by celebrity photographer Jeremy Cowart with the simple idea of giving back to those in need with the power of pictures. Jeff has been published in The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, The Cape Cod Times and New Bedford Standard Times, as well as numerous other magazines and news outlets. Jeff lives in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston and grew up on Cape Cod where he worked for the Wareham Gatemen Baseball team as staff photographer. He runs Tamagini Design Blog where he posts daily photos, tips, tricks and advice on all things photography and design.
